Pure Maple Syrup Oatie Recipe
As the days get longer and brighter we’ve craving lighter options for breakfast. This oatmeal recipe is the perfect option for making the night before and finishing with a drizzle of maple syrup in the morning for a quick and nutritious breakfast, or you can make it in a jar to have on the go.
It’s a great way to start the day and all those lovely oats will really fill you up. Plus you can mix up your choice of fruit and nuts to keep it interesting!
Ingredients
(Makes 4 large servings)
For Oatie
200g rolled oats
250ml apple juice
300g plain yogurt
1 large apple peeled and grated
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3 tbsp Canada Grade A Dark Robust Pure Maple Syrup
Zest from 1 orange
For topping
125g Blueberries
1 ripe mango chopped into small pieces
125g Raspberries
A couple of tablespoonful’s of plain yogurt (per jar)
A delicious drizzle of Pure Maple Syrup (per jar)
Instructions
Mix all the Oatie ingredients in a large bowl.
Spoon a quarter of the mixture into each bowl or small jar and top with fresh blueberries, yogurt and then chopped mango and raspberries.
Cover and store in the fridge overnight.
Finish your oatie with a drizzle of Pure Maple Syrup before serving.
You might also enjoy a sprinkle of nuts or mixed seeds.
