Cookbook for Executives Suggests Maple Syrup Breakfast
According to a new title called “Executive Eats: The Cookbook for a Better Working Life”, the food people consume during their working day can have a significant impact on how they perform.
The work of two Cordon Bleu-trained chefs, Jakub Radzikowski and Adam Kingl, the book published in June offers a selection of quick-to-make meals that can effectively boost energy. Known for its multiple health benefits and strong presence on the breakfast table, maple syrup has unsurprisingly made the pages in a recipe to jump-start mornings called “Oat and Banana Pancakes”.
Maple syrup supplies a rapid, natural energy boost. It’s almost immediately absorbed into the bloodstream, providing an instant energy kick, but unlike processed sugars it offers a sustained release, fuelling bodies without severe crashes and sudden spikes. Grade A maple syrup also contains manganese, which metabolises carbohydrates and converts them into usable energy and naturally contains electrolytes like calcium, potassium and zinc. These nutrients support nerve and muscle function, keeping bodies running smoothly.
Chefs Kingl and Radzikowski have a professional history of undertaking research projects looking at the connection between practical science and professional cooking, as well as what makes people at work. Their recently released recipes aim to sustain successful professionals with balanced ingredients that bodies digest slowly and supply more stable energy levels.
Combining eggs for protein, oats as complex carbohydrates and maple syrup for an instant energy boost and smoother slow release, their pancakes take just 15 minutes to prepare and perfectly fit the plan.
