Matcha and White Chocolate Waffles Recipe
These matcha and white chocolate waffles are ideal for St Patrick’s Day. Serve with whipped cream, raspberries, and a generous drizzle of maple syrup.
Makes 7 waffles.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons matcha powder
- 140g plain flour
- 2 tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup, Amber Rich, plus extra for serving
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 180ml milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 80g white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the waffle maker. In a small bowl, mix the matcha powder with around 3 tablespoons of water to form a smooth paste.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and maple syrup, then whisk gently until smooth.
- Fold through the matcha paste and white chocolate chips.
- Spoon the batter into the hot waffle maker and cook until golden.
- Serve with whipped cream, raspberries, and extra maple syrup.
