Pure Maple Tea Loaf Recipe
Take your tea loaf to the next level by adding natural and delicious
Pure Maple Syrup. It is perfect served with butter and a cup of tea.
Ingredients
- 100g sultanas
- 100g currants
- 100g glacé cherries, rinsed and quartered
- 50g dried apricots, chopped
- 350ml hot tea
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 270g self raising flour
- 150g Pure Maple Syrup, Dark Robust
- 50g maple sugar or brown sugar
Instructions

Prepare this recipe the day before. Place all the dried fruit into a bowl
and pour over the hot tea. Cover and leave to soak overnight. - The next day, line a 900g loaf tin and preheat the oven to 180C.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, maple syrup and sugar.

Add the flour to the wet mixture and mix well, then fold in the soaked fruit
along with any remaining liquid. -
Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and bake on the middle shelf of the oven
for about 1 hour 30 minutes. Check after 1 hour 15 minutes. The loaf should feel
firm to the touch. -
Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin for 15 minutes before turning
out onto a wire rack. - When completely cool, slice thickly and serve with butter.
