Pure Maple Blondies

For a healthier indulgence, try these pure maple blondies. Made with 100 percent pure maple syrup, this all natural ingredient straight from the tree adds a rich, comforting sweetness that makes these blondies perfect for a treat or celebration.

Pure maple blondies

Ingredients

  • 125g pure maple syrup, dark robust
  • 165g unsalted butter, melted
  • 225g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 170g white chocolate, chopped
  • 100g milk chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C and line a 20cm square tin.
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl and allow it to cool slightly.
  3. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together.
  4. Add the maple syrup, vanilla extract and beaten eggs to the cooled butter and mix well.
  5. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the butter and maple mixture, taking care not to overmix.
  6. Fold through the white chocolate and milk chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and level the top.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden with a slightly soft centre.
  9. Cool on a wire rack, then cut into squares to serve.
